Founder's update - a new focus within a shared mission
After years of working closely together to expand Byteflies, co-founder Hans Danneels chooses to focus from now on a mission that has driven him since the very beginning: giving people with epilepsy more control over their lives through continuous, convenient and intelligent brain monitoring - anytime and anywhere.
He remains involved as a founder through Byteflies' board, but is stepping away from the day-to-day operations. His new trajectory builds on the Epicare@home developed within Byteflies, with the goal of setting an international standard in brain monitoring for neurological disorders. That focus is primarily outside Europe and requires full dedication.
Meanwhile, Byteflies continues to focus on shaping and enabling transmural care, initially within the Belgian healthcare landscape. We do this with our hassle-free and care pathway-agnostic telemetry solutions - from heart failure monitoring to ECG Holter monitoring and behind-the-ear EEG. Our solutions are technically highly integrated into existing healthcare systems and put both the caregiver and the patient first by providing a comfortable and hassle-free telemetry experience. In addition, our solutions are also deployed in national and international clinical studies, albeit on a smaller scale.
The daily management of Byteflies remains in the hands of co-founder and CEO Hans de Clercq, who together with the team is building sustainable growth and impact within the Belgian healthcare context.
From different roles, we continue to work towards one shared mission: bringing healthcare smarter, more human and closer to the patient.
