Process Improver

As a Process Improver, you will be the expert in our manufacturing processes, tasked with enhancing their efficiency, speed, robustness, and leanness. Your primary goal is to enable us to deliver medical-grade quality while simultaneously decreasing costs and lead times. You will design and work on initiatives aimed at achieving concrete improvements in our workflows, tools, and overall team performance.

Your primary goal is to enable us to deliver medical-grade quality while simultaneously decreasing costs and lead times. You will design and work on initiatives aimed at achieving concrete improvements in our workflows, tools, and overall team performance.

In 2022 the manufacturing team sent almost 500 procedure packs to our clients. Three years later we ship over 3000 packs ... a quarter! We are scaling and thus process improvement and scaling projects bring real challenges. Lots to learn, uncover and improve upon!

Upon joining Byteflies, you would first be a “Production Associate” and take part in the daily operations of the manufacturing team. This will give you in-depth knowledge and experience of our products and our processes. After the onboarding period (3 to max. 6 months) you would transition fully to your role of Process Improver.

Your Role

  • Deeply understand and continuously analyze our manufacturing processes.
  • Investigate root causes of process issues and develop creative, data-driven solutions.
  • Design, implement and test improvements that balance speed, quality, and cost.
  • Use your Odoo power user skills to support changes and improvements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align improvements across teams.
  • Document new processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Support and train colleagues in adopting new tools, workflows, and procedures.
  • Use Python for basic data analysis, scripting, and process automation.
  • Use Lean Thinking & Lean manufacturing approaches

Your Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
  • Has hands-on experience in manufacturing—preferably in a regulated environment like MedTech, pharma, or automotive. Knowledge of GMP in medical technology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or a comparable sector is a big plus. Ideally you have at least 1 year of experience and a maximum of 5 years.
  • Understands the balance between process reliability, compliance, and innovation.
  • Has a sharp analytical mind and a passion for solving problems creatively.
  • Is comfortable with tools like Python and Odoo to support process optimization.
  • Knows the value of good documentation and structured problem-solving.
  • Enjoys working with people and influencing change from the ground up.
  • Is fluent in English (professional proficiency).
